By placing an order on our website, you explicitly agree to the terms outlined in this Return & Refund Policy.

Due to the international nature of our fulfillment process, specific return conditions apply.

1. General Conditions

All orders are shipped from our international fulfillment partner.

By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that:

  • Returns are not free of charge

  • Items must be returned to our designated warehouse in Asia

  • International return shipping costs, customs duties, and clearance fees are the sole responsibility of the customer

  • Return shipping costs typically range between $10 and $50 USD, depending on location and carrier

  • International returns may take several weeks

We do not offer prepaid return labels.

2. Return Eligibility

To qualify for a return:

  • A return request must be submitted within 14 days of confirmed delivery

  • Items must be unused, unworn, unwashed, undamaged, and in original condition

  • Original tags and packaging must remain attached

  • Items may only be tried on for sizing purposes

  • Returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these standards.

Orders intentionally placed in multiple sizes, colors, or variations with the intent to return part of the order may be refused at our discretion.

3. International Return Requirement

All approved returns must be shipped to our designated warehouse in Asia.

The customer is fully responsible for:

  • International shipping costs

  • Customs clearance fees

  • Import taxes

  • Any additional carrier charges

Failure to pay customs duties may result in the package being rejected. Rejected packages are not eligible for a refund.

We strongly recommend insured and trackable shipping. We are not responsible for:

  • Lost packages

  • Delayed transit

  • Customs delays

  • Carrier-related damage

Refunds will only be processed once the item is physically received and inspected at our warehouse.

4. Shipping & Delivery Timeframe

Our standard shipping timeframe may take up to 30 days depending on destination and external logistics factors.

A full refund for non-delivery can only be considered once:

  • 30 days have passed since shipment, and

  • The carrier tracking confirms non-delivery

Delays caused by customs, postal services, force majeure events, peak seasons, or carrier disruptions do not automatically qualify for refunds.

5. Refund Conditions

Refunds are only issued when:

  • The returned item is physically received at our warehouse

  • The product passes inspection

  • The item complies with all return conditions

Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method only.

Please allow up to 14 business days after inspection for refund processing.

We reserve the right to deduct:

  • Shipping costs not previously paid

  • Customs handling charges

  • A restocking fee (if applicable)

  • Any depreciation in value due to handling beyond reasonable fitting

6. Non-Returnable Situations

Refunds will not be granted for:

  • Incorrect size selection by the customer

  • Change of mind

  • Slight color or shade differences due to photography, lighting, or screen display

  • Minor stitching variations or manufacturing tolerances

  • Refused deliveries

  • Incorrect shipping address provided by the customer

  • Packages marked as “delivered” by tracking

Proof of delivery provided by the carrier is considered valid fulfillment proof.

7. Fraud & Abuse Prevention

Côte Dorée reserves the right to:

  • Refuse returns in cases of suspected abuse or policy manipulation

  • Deny refunds where inconsistent, suspicious, or fraudulent activity is detected

  • Request additional verification before approving a return

We actively monitor return patterns and chargeback activity.

8. Partial Refund Alternative

Due to high international return shipping costs, we may offer partial refunds as a customer-friendly alternative to returning the product.

Partial refunds are discretionary and do not constitute an admission of fault.

9. Liability Limitation

Côte Dorée shall not be held liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses

  • Delivery delays outside of our control

  • Carrier or customs errors

  • Return shipments lost in transit

Our maximum liability is limited to the original purchase price paid.
